Question No. E12-080

Senator WRIGHT:

$6.1 million of funding was allocated to provide training to frontline community workers in 40 regions in Australia. Please list all regions which have received funding for training, how much funding was allocated to each region, a description of the training that was provided for each region, and how many people received training in each region.

Answer:

A breakdown of all region specific information is not available at this stage of the Project. The three organisations engaged in mid-2012 to provide mental health first aid training are continuing comprehensive consultations with industry sectors to determine the most appropriate regions to provide training. The table below represents the number of participants that have been trained since pilot training commenced in July 2012.

Table available for download here.
