Connecting Clean Energy

Australia can harness our sun, wind and wave power to replace polluting coal and avoid dangerous global warming.
We need a nation-building plan to connect our cities to clean energy hotspots like Port Augusta, where community support and world-beating solar resources meet.
The Greens' Connecting Clean Energy plan does just that.
Our plan would:
- map Australia's clean energy resources,
- involve local communities in planning their energy future,
- set up Renewable Energy Development Zones with quicker approval processes for clean energy projects where the best resources and community support align, and
- help link clean energy hotspots to the national energy grid.
That means places like Port Augusta could convert their world-beating solar resource and community enthusiasm into concrete support for clean energy jobs and investment.
Connecting Clean Energy is just one piece of our 100% Clean Energy Roadmap for Australia.
