Greens commemorate first anniversary of the National Apology for Forced Adoptions
Today is the first anniversary of the National Apology for Forced Adoptions, which took place on 21st March 2013.
Yesterday, the Senate supported the joint motion moved by Senators Siewert, Moore, Boyce and Fifield commemorating the anniversary, and set aside time for MPs to speak on the Apology.
"It is important to remember the importance and significance of the National Apology, and reflect on the work being done to help those people affected by past adoption practices," Senator Rachel Siewert, Australian Greens spokesperson on families and community services said today.
