No curfew plan for Western Sydney Airport – adds insult to injury

The Greens say the Turnbull government’s refusal to consider a night-time curfew for the proposed Western Sydney Airport adds insult to injury for Western Sydney residents. 
 
“This airport is a dud deal for Western Sydney residents. The fact that the Turnbull government is refusing to consider a night-time curfew adds insult to injury,” Greens NSW Senator Lee Rhiannon said.
 
“Sydney Airport has a curfew between 11pm and 6am, why don’t Western Sydney residents deserve at least the same consideration?

Badgerys Creek airport is dud deal

The Greens say Badgery’s Creek airport is a dud deal for Western Sydney. 
 
The federal government on Monday signed off on what it says is the final document that clears the way for construction to begin on Sydney's second airport at Badgerys Creek.
 
Greens NSW spokesperson for transport Dr Mehreen Faruqi MP said, “Imposing a 24/7 airport on the people of Western Sydney with all the associated air pollution and transport problems is why the Greens say this is a dud deal.

Greens NSW Senator Lee Rhiannon and Greens candidate for Macquarie Terry Morgan have commented on Turnbull’s proposed ‘cities deal’ with NSW Premier Mike Baird, involving Badgerys Creek Airport.

Senator Rhiannon said, “The Prime Minister’s ‘cities deal’ is a snub to Western Sydney and is nothing more than an attempt to hold on to marginal seats.
