Labor backs Liberal-National sell out of renewable energy in NSW

Greens NSW Senator Lee Rhiannon says clean energy investment in NSW is under serious threat after Labor struck a deal with the Coalition today to cut $500 million from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA). 

“Today Labor took clean energy investment backwards by striking a dirty deal with the Coalition to cut half a billion dollars from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA),” Senator Rhiannon said. 

“This deal highlights the Coalition’s false commitment to innovation, and Labor’s false commitment to clean energy.

Omnicuts short change ARENA and Australia’s most vulnerable

Greens to protect renewable energy jobs in WA

Renewable energy projects in Western Australia will cease to exist without continued funding from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA), which is set to have a $500million cut under a sneaky deal struck between Liberal and Labor today.

Greens co-deputy leader, Senator for WA Scott Ludlam said the Australian Greens will introduce an amendment to protect the entire $1.3billion of ARENA funding so WA can continue to support emerging new technologies such as the successful Carnegie Wave Project.
