The government’s exposure draft came out in March, outlining the details of their proposed changes.
The Australian Greens have serious concerns about the changes, many of which are shared by legal and human rights experts, cultural leaders, mental health professionals and those in the community sector, amongst others.
Have a read of our submission to the Attorney-General, condemning his proposed weakening of our racial vilification laws.
You can also make your own submission to the Attorney-General here. Submissions are due Wednesday April 30 at 5pm Canberra time.
