The Victorian state government is logging some of the Leadbeater's Possum's last remaining habitat, in Victoria's Central Highlands. This logging is driving this endangered animal to extinction.

With fewer than 1000 remaining, we need a National Park to ensure they are protected.

The campaign for a Great Forest National Park has taken its first step with a major public event in Melbourne: #Extinction Emergency.

On 29 August 2013, Prof Tim Flannery, Dr Bob Brown, and leading scientist Prof David Lindenmayer joined with local environment groups and our Greens MPs to call for a Great Forest National Park.

The Greens will fight for a Great Forests National Park for Victoria.
