"President Obama said recently he refuses to condemn our children to a planet that's beyond fixing but that's exactly what Tony Abbott is doing. It is nothing short of intergenerational theft.

"Tony Abbott can no longer claim that the rest of the world is not acting. The Chinese are acting, the Europeans have acted, and now the US is coming out strongly to reduce carbon pollution."
