This Christmas, don't forget the more than 800 children and unaccompanied minors who are in immigration detention in Australia.
Many of them have been separated from their families and friends and have little to celebrate during the festive season.
Sometimes knowing that someone cares about you and is wishing you well, can make a big difference.
You can let them know that there are Australians thinking of them and hoping they are released from detention soon, by sending them a Christmas card.
You can let children in immigration detention know you are thinking of them by sending a Christmas card care-of Senator Hanson-Young's office.
Please address your card as follows:
Christmas Card To Children In Detention
C/O: The Office of Senator Sarah Hanson-Young
Level 13, 100 King William Street
Adelaide (SA) 5000
The office will forward on all cards recieved.
Thank you!
