Australian Greens Leader Bob Brown today expressed great sadness at the loss of two Australian soldiers in Afghanistan.

"The Greens join all Australians in gratitude for their service to the nation. We offer condolences to their family and friends, and wish their injured comrades a speedy recovery," Senator Brown said in Canberra.
Twenty-six Australian soldiers have now been killed while serving in Afghanistan.
