Senator LUDLAM: Have we issued export permits for e-waste shipments to Ghana?
Dr Wright: Not to my knowledge, no.
Senator LUDLAM: Could you take that on notice and double-check for us?
Dr Wright: Yes.
Answer:
There have been no permits to export e-waste to Ghana issued under the Hazardous Waste (Regulation of Exports and Imports) Act 1989.
